A franchise was awarded to Birmingham, Alabama, in 1932, in Marshall Cooper's rival league, in protest of the rule changes Hugh Walker instituted upon taking control of The League upon the death of his brother Tobias. The Birmingham franchise, whose nickname is never revealed, joined The League in 1937, when Judge Walker was forced to sell his interests in The League. Birmingham, however, did not survive the contraction in 1942 made necessary by World War II. It is unknown if the team was folded outright or continued on in a new location.
